BREAK the RULES! Ontario Mosaic Artists Exhibition 2026 in Toronto

This November, the mosaic community is invited to experience BREAK the RULES!, the fourth biennial juried exhibition presented by Ontario Mosaic Artists. Showcasing the work of 19 internationally acclaimed, award-winning, and emerging artists from across Ontario, this inspiring exhibition celebrates innovation, experimentation, and the boundless possibilities of contemporary mosaic art.

From November 11 to 29, 2026, visitors can explore a diverse collection of artwork at Leslie Grove Gallery in Toronto, where artists challenge traditional mosaic conventions and embrace new approaches to materials, design, and technique.

Pushing Creative Boundaries

For centuries, mosaics have been associated with precision, structure, and carefully ordered patterns. The artists featured in BREAK the RULES! demonstrate how today's mosaic creators are redefining the medium by welcoming asymmetry, spontaneity, and creative freedom into their work.

The result is an exhibition that showcases mosaic art as a vibrant, evolving art form that continues to inspire new generations of artists and makers.

More Than an Exhibition

In addition to the gallery show, visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase selected artworks online, making the exhibition accessible to collectors and mosaic enthusiasts beyond Toronto. Shop the Gallery

The exhibition will also feature the much-loved 5" x 5" Mini Mosaics, offering original, affordable artwork for those looking to start or grow their collection.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors can attend Show & Tell sessions and live artist demonstrations, providing a unique opportunity to explore mosaic tools, materials, techniques, and the creative processes behind the artwork.

Supporting Creativity and Community

At ArtsyCrafts, we believe creativity thrives when artists share ideas, explore new techniques, and inspire one another.

Events like BREAK the RULES! help strengthen the mosaic community by bringing together artists, collectors, and enthusiasts who share a passion for this remarkable art form. Whether you're a seasoned mosaic artist, a curious beginner, or simply an admirer of handmade art, this exhibition promises plenty of inspiration.

We're proud to support initiatives that celebrate artistic innovation and help showcase the incredible talent within the mosaic community. We encourage our customers and fellow creatives to visit the exhibition, discover new artists, and experience firsthand how mosaic art continues to evolve.
